 Sign Quote Request Form

Thank you for your Sign Quote request!  This is the only way we get to know who you are and what type of sign or graphics you’re needing.  As we say in many other places, we don’t capture your information, use it, sell it or try to sell you a bucket of chicken later you didn’t ask for. We’re are CG artists and designers, coders and use advanced tech throughout our operation but we are Granddad crazy about privacy: yours and ours.

Please provide as much information as possible, or as little if you’re in a hurry.  We’ll fill in any blanks we might need later.  To move quickly and accurately, however, it really helps to received as much detail as you can give to get us going in the right direction.  You can skip straight to the questions now if you like, but here are a few more tips:

  • Vector Artwork of your logo.  This might be the Adobe Illustrator file your designer provided when the artwork was commissioned.  They might have given you a PDF file exported out of Illustrator, an EPS or SVG file type or even the Illustrator .ai file.  These are never jpg or png-type images, called Raster images.  They are resolution independent and are created exclusively from outlines and color fills and are what are machines use to cutout shapes and lettering.
  • Sign Location.  A description of the wall where the sign will install, maybe a straight on image of the area along with a measurement of something within the image frame.  This will help us not only scale the sign design accurately but give us an idea of the installation process.  Typically we will conduct a site survey and take these pictures and measurements ourselves.
  • Expectations.  This could include an image of a sign you’d like to emulate, a Sign Guideline from your landlord or broker, or a moderately detailed description of what you want it to look like.
  • Requirements.  This might include a corporate Style Guide for how your logo is to be used, including Pantone or PMS colors, logo element spacing, the fonts used and other details.  All of this information will ensure your custom sign is made to spec and expectations.

As mentioned above, taking a few extra minutes here to decide the color details (Pantone numbers), what's left of your budget since most signs come last. Making these decisions now will save you a lot of time and headache. Please consider the question or statements carefully.

Will this sign be outdoor or indoor?

This primarily means outside and/or exposed to a potentially wet environment. This applies whether it's a metal, plastic or vinyl sign. If you are not sure we can help you figure it out. Tell us what it looks like or send us a picture from online that resembles it. We can figure it out, or just extract it from your brain. Whatever you require!

Do you know if you want a channel letter sign or what type you have in mind?. Channel letters are usually about 4-5" deep, have plastic faces that are usually illuminated. They have sides called returns, which we will ask you the color you want your channels, if that's what your sign type. They can be used both inside or outdoors and be both illuminated or non. Please Choose Sign Type Channel.

The other common sign type is the Cabinet sign, or box sign. Sometimes called a shoebox in the industry, these signs are a contained box with all of the LEDs and components hidden and protected inside the box. The faces (front) of a Cabinet sign usually has the logo carved out of it which is replaced with an acrylic version of the logo which is backlit and secured into place. For this sign type choose "Cabinet." To this sign design we've been adding a remove controllable RGB LED halo perimeter around the sign, for which you'd choose halo.

If you're ordering flat plastic faces for an existing box sign please select "Faces Only", and specify the material cut size(s) if you know it.

Face illumination, halo illumination, or both?Face illumination is standard channel letter lighting where light is emitted from LEDs inside of the letters through the translucent white faces, perhaps covered in a translucent vinyl of a specific color. Halo Illumination is always light emitted from the back of the letter or logo object. Letters can be both, designed to shine light through the face, and also designed to shine light out of backs as well. Please choose a Face, Halo or Both option.
